Creating A Wedding Timeline

September 1, 2017

Before we jump into specifics, are you doing a first look?

What is a first look you ask... that will be coming in another blog post!

If you answered YES to a First Look... Well here is your Timeline...

. 12 P.M.     GETTING READY

Jennifer arrives at Bride's getting ready location & her associate photographer arrives at Groom's getting ready location.

Note 1: Gathering all important items like rings, jewelry, shoes, veil, & sentimental items for us to start shooting is helpful.

Note 2: Ideally by the time we arrive, hair and make-up is already wrapping up. If something is going to delay the beginning of the day, it is often HAMU.

. 1:15 P.M.  GENTLEMEN DEPART

Groom + Groomsmen depart for ceremony site.

. 1:30 P.M.   LADIES DEPART

Bride & bridesmaids depart for ceremony location.

. 1:45 P.M.   THE FIRST LOOK

Bride & Groom have their secluded moment together.

. 2 P.M. BRIDE & GROOM + BRIDAL PARTY PORTRAITS

Bride, Groom, and their bridal party take their formal portraits.

. 3 P.M. CEREMONY

Bride + Groom say I do's.

. 3:30 P.M. FAMILY PORTRAITS

Family portraits are captured right after the ceremony because everyone we need will be easy to gather. Giving those family members notice that we will be taking portraits immediately after the ceremony.

. 4 P.M. ADDITIONAL BRIDAL PARTY + BRIDE & GROOM PORTRAITS

Depending on what was captured before the ceremony, we might grab a few more images. At the very least, we'll grab a few shots of you at the ceremony site.

. 5:15 P.M. COCKTAIL HOUR

The best part about doing a First Look is that it gives you more time at the cocktail hour. We'll grab some pictures of your guests while you enjoy the hour.

. 6:15 P.M. INTRODUCTION & FIRST DANCE

Enjoy the moment.

.6:30 P.M. WELCOME TOAST & SALADS FOLLOWED BY SPEECHES & ENTREES

Be sure to eat.

. 7:30 P.M. SUNSET PORTRAITS

We'll make sure to grab you two about 45 minutes before the sunset. This is usually the best light of the day!

. 8 P.M. DANCING BEGINS

Let loose!

. 8:15 P.M. CAKE CUTTING & BOUQUET TOSS

. 9 P.M. GRAND EXIT | PHOTOGRAPHER'S DEPART

NO FISRT LOOK... That is awesome I am a fan of Traditional!

Your wedding day timeline is your key to a wonderful stress free day. It allows your photographer and the coordinator to manage your time for you. Knowing when to start the next step of the day and what is next is crucial. If you choose to forgo anything, do not let it be this essential part of your wedding day & planning.
